How to Book an Appointment via the SWU Skin App
First, you’ll need to make an appointment through the SWU Skin application, available for free on the App Store.
Register as a new user, then select your preferred date and time. For the first visit, there’s a 200 THB booking fee. It’s highly recommended to book early because appointments fill up quickly, especially on weekends.
Tips for the Appointment Day
Be punctual! The SWU Skin Center operates an automated queue system — if you arrive 15–30 minutes late, your appointment will be skipped and cannot be recalled. You’ll have to reschedule again, as the clinic is usually quite busy.
The most convenient way to get there is by public transport — take the BTS to Asok Station or the MRT to Phetchaburi Station, then grab a short motorcycle taxi ride (around 20 THB) to Srinakharinwirot University. Driving isn’t recommended due to heavy traffic in the area.
Location of SWU Skin Center
SWU Skin Center is located in the first building on the right-hand side of the university, on the 4th floor. You must take the elevator, as there’s no escalator access to that level.
Queue System and Service Experience
Upon arrival, inform the staff and scan the QR code to activate your queue automatically. You can monitor your real-time queue status through the app. The process is well-organized — minimal waiting time and very professional staff.
Consultation and Choosing the Right Treatment
After consulting with the dermatologist, I was recommended to try the Sylfirm Laser — a type of RF microneedling laser that helps stimulate collagen and smooth out acne scars.
The price is 7,500 THB per session, or 6,500 THB each if you purchase a 2-session package (about 2 months apart). It’s a great value compared to many private clinics.
I had previously done Pico Laser here twice — only 3,000 THB per session, and the results were impressive. My acne marks and redness faded noticeably.
This is the patient consultation area — the clinic has multiple rooms with assistants and nurses managing queues efficiently.
Applying Numbing Cream and Pre-Treatment Preparation
After payment, you’ll be guided to the self-service area to wash your face and apply numbing cream. The area is equipped with all necessary items — facial foam, cotton pads, and hair caps. The staff will help apply the cream, and you’ll wait about 45 minutes for it to take full effect.
Once done, the assistant will reapply the cream evenly and let it sit for around 45 minutes before the laser treatment begins.
Before the session, you’ll be asked to wipe off the numbing cream and clean your face again.
Sylfirm Laser Experience and Pain Level
When it’s time for the procedure, the assistant will escort you to the treatment room. During the Sylfirm Laser session, it feels like tiny needles pricking the skin — slightly painful but tolerable. Afterward, the staff apply a cooling cream and give you an ice pack to reduce redness and swelling.
Once finished, they’ll apply a post-laser healing cream and provide an ice pack to soothe your skin.
This was my skin condition right after the Sylfirm treatment.
Aftercare and Recovery
After the session, you’ll receive post-laser creams to use at home to reduce inflammation and aid healing. Avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen daily for at least one week to achieve the best results.
