EV/Cars › XPeng P7+ 2026 Global Version: 5C Fast Charging, AI-Driven Tech, and a New EV Benchmark

The electric vehicle market is heating up once again as XPeng unveils its latest high-performance model, the P7+ Global Version. This is not just a minor facelift, but a complete internal overhaul with more than 100 system upgrades, aiming to become one of the most well-rounded electric sedans on the market today.
Today, we take a deep dive into the three key breakthroughs that make the XPeng P7+ Model Year 2026 a truly standout EV.

1. A more refined and modern design with significantly increased interior space
At first glance, the design remains familiar in classic XPeng fashion, but the new P7+ has been refined throughout to deliver a more premium look and feel. The body length has been extended to 5,071 mm, resulting in noticeably improved cabin comfort and cargo capacity. The rear trunk now offers up to 725 liters of storage, which is exceptionally large for a sedan.

Aerodynamics have also been enhanced with an Active Shutter Grille that automatically opens and closes, improving airflow efficiency at higher speeds.

One of the most talked-about upgrades is the new 800V Silicon Carbide electrical architecture, enabling the P7+ to support ultra-fast 5C charging.
Lightning-fast charging: Charge from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes — perfect for a quick coffee stop.
Exceptional driving range: The EREV version (with a range-extender engine) delivers up to 1,550 km per full energy cycle, effectively eliminating range anxiety.

XPeng has shifted its autonomous driving strategy by removing LiDAR in favor of the AI Hawk system, which relies primarily on multi-camera vision — similar to Tesla’s approach. Powering this system is the new Turing AI chip, delivering an astonishing 2,250 TOPS of computing performance.
Inside the cabin, technology takes center stage with a massive 15.6-inch infotainment display and a 29-inch AR-HUD. Paired with the Snapdragon 8295P chipset, the system offers ultra-smooth responsiveness with zero lag.

Additional perspective: XPeng’s latest move clearly signals its ambition to move beyond being just another EV brand and establish itself as a true “smart car” manufacturer. If the XPeng P7+ enters the Thai market at a competitive price, it could become a serious threat to both European brands and existing EV market leaders.
